SHADOW DANCE:

Interactive Eclipse Exhibit

© 2001 Viper Vertex: Jo Ann Gillerman | Rob Terry

"Shadow Dance: Eclipse Exhibit” is an interactive, multi-user, multi-channel, multi-lingual, floor-sensor driven environment encouraging the audience to create an eclipse by aligning the Sun, Moon and Earth on an arc of 12 high-resolution flat panel displays. By simply moving around the installation space stepping on floor pictures, the audience collaboratively and interactively creates an eclipse (lunar or solar), and explores visual/aural eclipse information: science, global mythologies (visual and sound creation), art, history, and popular culture. Controlling layers of graphics, animations, video, imagery, environmental and multi-cultural sounds, and narration let the audience play the environment. (* In the Shadow)
