An Eclipse Knows No Borders

With intent to reimagine a more nuanced, compassionate, and humane border narrative, Border Eclipse Immersive contrasts a borderless and inclusive celestial total solar eclipse with human unrest below, amidst a hotly disputed border with unwelcoming miles of razor wire, armed guards, and destruction of eco systems at the US side of the Rio Grande Riverbank. While people and local communities look for respectful, dignified, and peaceful solutions to the complexities of border situations, human, cultural and environmental impact persist.  From space we are a borderless planet. And, for a moment in time, during totality, we share a unified all-inclusive experience that doesn't discriminate. Preserving this holistic interconnectedness, humanity at borders has potential to unite rather than divide – as does an eclipse – to encourage synergistic benefits of working together on a planet worth preserving.
